Well, at least the '73 Nova SS and '69 Coronet had good runs. I think they both still lost, though.

nice stuff on there, great examples of new school modified cars, would of been nice to see some of the old school fast stuff rather than the driveway built stuff

Dude. Your Hell Cat just spanked by a Rambler. That being said, today's technology rules over old school. A 472 Camaro hasn't a chance against pretty much ANYTHING modern.

Those old classic muscle cars are legend I was raised around trans ams and corvettes from my dad and grandpa but these new muscle cars are over 75k and are really light weight so it’s kinda easy win and with the supercharger

Personally i love the looks of the classics and they have made history but i dont think they can hold up to todays hp and speeds but thats just my opinion

my god the old muscle seems so slow now but then again running 14s and 15s back then was fast, now honda accords and camrys run that.

I'll still take classic ol' school muscle over the new high tech cars. And unlike new cars, they appreciate in value.

  27. Brian Samuels

    June 3, 2018 at 12:09 am

Old school muscle is better. New school is made cheap and won't last nearly as long plus most new cars are supercharged or turbo to make there power. Old school school had displacement

    That hellcat is sick

  29. quickboat22

    June 3, 2018 at 1:06 am

Put some boost under the hood of some of those old schoolers and you will have a fair fight.

Put some tech in the old muscle & it's gonna be a different outcome. The new muscle got the tech advantage that's about it. Some of that old muscle is getting out the pocket quicker too. You can hear the old motors drowning out the new muscle sound at idle as well.

i still hate the new shit.built not bought.

  32. Bob Falfa

    June 3, 2018 at 3:16 am

Would've been nice to see the newer cars race older cars in the same class but a good video nonetheless.

  33. Manuel Antonio Martinez

    June 3, 2018 at 4:32 am

So do the new ones always win ?

  34. Arc

    June 3, 2018 at 4:51 am

Right off the top I'd say aerodynamics. You can visually see the windshield angle is much steeper on the older rods, not to mention the flatter grills. still its clear 9 of 10 times the new rods are faster.

  35. Lee Brown

    June 3, 2018 at 5:39 am

Fucking sad run something compatible like a 455 stage 3 or a 454 with modern upgrades or a 470 turbo oops that's real a hot-rod. The new generation likes store bought performance.

  36. Mike Doornbosch

    June 3, 2018 at 1:40 pm

So the common denominator is the guys with the older cars can actually cut a light, meanwhile 80% of the new car drivers are asleep at the wheel when it goes green. And then the only reason the new cars win is big HP and higher mph at the end…
