Anybody that has driven a rear wheel drive car and is not showboating knows you go easy on the gas when you are in a curb.

I get pretty fucking stupid with my Camaro, never lost grip on it in the two years I've owned her. I really don't get how you can do this in the dry… EVER. How does your brain even let you hit the throttle in this manner. Fuck getting old must suck dog balls.

I think it’s great that this happened! The corvette is supposed to offer the “Everyman,” a shot at owning a super car on a middle class salary. And it’s done that incredibly well. The thing is, it does it so well that people need to realize that if they buy one they probably should have some driving lessons just for it, to be safe. I tested out a ZR1 at a GM event over a decade ago and people were wrecking off the track and into an open field all over the place! They had race car trainers coaching you, but I learned something that day: I drive a front wheel drive car real well, fast. I drive a mustang pretty well, fast. If I drove a Corvette as fast as it’d go, I’d wreck. It’s too much supercar to just lay on it all the way—so is the Viper.

I posted this earlier but I'm going to post it here so that everyone can see and understand what happened in this video.

As a Corvette owner and driver for years, I can tell you EXACTLY what happened and it was NOT because of the traction control or ABS doing what they do. The driver put the car into "competition mode", which turns EVERYTHING drivetrain safety related off and gives you FULL CONTROL of the car. He then took the car out WITH COLD TIRES and goosed it WHILE IN A TURN (watch the video real close and you can actually see the exact moment that he does this). Doing this caused the back tires to break traction and with the safety system completely disabled, you are at the mercy of your own skills or the lack thereof. This is the same exact mistake that inexperienced drivers (or drivers with more car than skills), make ALL THE TIME in a Corvette and the result is ALWAYS this same exact scenario (except insert telephone pole, tree, ditch, curb or another car where the wall is),

I have watched guys do this a hundred times if not two-hundred. Had the driver left ALL of the safety systems on, the active handling would have kicked in and STOPPED the back wheels from spinning. The power to the engine would have been also been cut but the engine would have remained running. This split-second reaction of the car would have enabled the driver to regain control of the car and the car would have done everything in its power to remain pointed in the same direction that it was last in once traction control and active handling kicked in. The car actually remembers which way it was going when the system activates. This is by design and the service manual (not owners manual), explains this in detail.

This is why I never turn my shit off when I get into the car because shit can go sideways VERY fast. And this video is perfect proof of that. For all you drivers who think your last name is Andretti, let this video be a warning to your ego if you get to sit behind the wheel of a monster like this.

He's not used to driving American muscle cars. His Bentley would not have reacted that way.

It never gets old, dumb rich white old as shit males who think they're race car drivers get in over their heads and don't actually take the time to learn how to operate machines like these. It doesn't matter the brand. It's Ford Mustangs or Italian Retards Out Cruising. Tons of videos on you tube showing these morons.
