I had an opportunity to take the Drift fox out for a track day! It’s our first time getting a taste of the track. See how the drift fox stacks up against race cars.

    Man that looks like a lot of fun.. As for break upgrades go.. Ummm I have heard of guys using the 03,04 cobra brakes as a upgrade on Foxbody Mustangs. I'm not sure what it all involves but Matt Farrah did it on his foxbody.

    Wilwood or Baer brakes. You need a 17” tire though. An maybe a quick ratio steering rack

    I have cobra 13" brakes up front and baer eradispeed +1 13" rear. I like it but I don't track my car. A lot of people prefer the willwood calipers up front.

    I figured it out my is a 1994 brake only come with single piston so I went to the junkyard two days ago there was a 2000 Mustang front with dual-piston calipers I'm pretty sure they will fit the 94 bracket so that's my next upgrade also change your brake line to stainless steel line front and rear

    ALMOST ALL brake upgrades need 1994 spindles and then any of the newer brakes will work. do not worry out back just front and even with the twin piston PBRs you still have to upgrade pads to at least hawk hps or better. gt500 will work with 18 in wheels but need a special bracket to fit fox. This is what I am doing but its over kill unless to track the car all the time. Mine is track only. 13 twin with good pads up front is all you need.

    What kinda of power are you makin in your fox?? Have you ever dynod it? What are your engine mods besides GT40 heads and intake?

    Tell me about it. You are so right, a clean car should be driven. I have a 79 Karmen superbettle convertible, 2004 cobra 8K miles, 1993 Fox Gt, 87K all converted with everything on a race car Pro-charged with Baer cross drilled brakes Front and Rear, a 2010 Jeep Wrangler 14K, 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 V8 130K that just sit up in my garages. My wife drives my old 2002 Mercedes and I drive daily a 1998 Acura CL very gas efficient from where I live back and forth to work. ALL of my vehicles mentioned run like champions. I want to take out my Ram racing clutch out of my 93 Gt and go with a hydraulic. It's hell on your leg, but hooks like crazy. It's attached to a TKO 600. Engine has been modified from stock to full Ford racing, with AFR heads.It's still EFI with Eldo performer II, 42lbs injectors with ALL Phantom Autometer gauges. Maybe if I can convince my wife , we can come down to one of your track meet.

    Sick ass foxbody actually inspired me to grab one myself in the process as we speak everyone wants a 350z or something jdm but i fuck with the jdm flavored american muscle keep it up g and this is coming from a g35 owner lol

    I assume you're running newer knuckles from the edge mustangs 96-04. If that's the case I recommend a Wildwood big brake kit. I'm running the 13" rotors because I have 17" wheels, but they also make 14" that you need 18s to clear. I got mine from Car ID for right around 1500. Many people will tell you to get 03-04 Cobra calipers but they are very expensive for stock parts, very hard to get, and not that big of an upgrade. If you really want some track worthy brakes, get the wilwoods….

    I've got the 13" drilled slotted vented up fr from a 95 with the big PBR calipers, 12" in the rear with stock 95gt caliper, 93 cobra booster/MC , braided lines throughout my notch stops on a dime!.. Hawk HPS pads.

    96-04 cobra brakes are the best bang for the buck, I’m running 96 cobra brakes up front and rear with sn95 booster & 93 cobra master cylinder,

    Hey man, loving the Mustang. I got a question:
    How did you widen your wheel base?
    Did you use spacers or just negative offset wheels?
    Did you use other methods?
    Looking into options myself. Thanks!
