I constantly hear people making comments about how they can add $10-20k to their car and beat the Dodge Demon. I have yet to see this happen. For you to beat the Dodge Demon, you’re going to have to spend equivalent or more of the cost of this car. Trust me, I have raced the Dodge Demon vs several thousand plus horsepower cars and they have all got their souls snatched by the Demon. My cousin Vincent Taylor (professional racer) was in town from Oklahoma. It was so fun to have a professional give me advice on launching and tire pressure management. The Yello Belly is a track that does not reveal times, which is perfect for sleepers and mods. They also do not prep the track like Northstar Dragway so most sleepers and mods will bring their own pimp juice (VHT Trackbite) and doing multiple burnouts to make sure they hook. They also have the common practice of putting you in the worst lane. On this day I was able to snatch the souls of all mods and sleepers that I raced and I allowed them to choose the lane they wanted. One guy decided to call me out when I first got to the track stating his car was all stock, which clearly it was not (big hint: E85 sticker in the rear window and drag radials). What took place with him reminds me of Darius James from When Keeping it Real Goes Wrong.
