Automobilista – Let’s Race F1 1975! | 01 Argentine GP

Time stamps in comment section.

10 years after his first season in Formula 1 with Ferrari, American Richie Axleson is looking for a way out of the sport, until Shadow Racing Cars approaches him with a flattering offer and an impressive program. With the contract signed for one more season, will the swan song of Richie Axleson be a successful one?

This is a tribute to one of my favourite YouTubers and the guy who ignited my love of classic Grand Prix cars, GPLaps. I keep going back to his Let’s Race Grand Prix Legends series and watching it from start to finish.

Find it here:

This will follow an “Ironman” type format. No session restarts for any issue non-technical. That means, if I blow my engine, so be it. But if the game crashes for some reason, (which is shouldn’t. Its only crashed on me like… pfft… less than 3 times), I reserve the right to redo the session where the crash took place.

AI is set to 105% and max aggression.
13 lap races.
Fuel and Tire wear is set to normal but the track progression is set to 2x.
No assists obviously.

Schedule will follow the 1975 F1 season to the best of my ability. Some tracks aren’t available and I’ll swap them out for others in the same country.

I.E. The 1975 version of Monza for AMS doesn’t exist, so I’ll use the 1972 layout of Imola.

Season Schedule:

January 12 – Argentine GP at Buenos Aires
January 26 – Brazilian GP at Brasilia
March 1 – South African GP at Kyalami
April 27 – Spanish GP at Montjuic
May 11 – Canadian GP at Montreal
July 19 – British GP at Brands Hatch
August 3 – German GP at Hockenheim
August 17 – Austrian GP at Osterreichring
September 7 – Italian GP at Imola
October 5 – USGP at Lime Rock Park

Great idea. Yeah that guy did a great couple of series. Is your league interested in running this era cars? I'd love to join in.

Good idea. But why you are going to use Brasilia instead of Historic Interlagos? Too much extreme?
